Shorten URLs Without Leaving Slack

The RedirMe Slack integration lets your entire team create short links directly in Slack. No need to switch apps or interrupt your workflow.

Features

  • Slash Command - Simply type /shorten [URL] to create a short link
  • Custom Aliases - Add an optional custom slug: /shorten [URL] [custom-slug]
  • Team Links - All links are saved to your organisation’s RedirMe account
  • Zero Friction - Team members can use it immediately after installation

How It Works

  1. A workspace admin installs the RedirMe app from the Slack App Directory
  2. Link the app to your RedirMe organisation
  3. Any team member can now use /shorten in any channel
  4. Shortened links are shared right in the conversation

Example Usage

/shorten https://example.com/very-long-url-with-parameters

Result: redirme.com/abc123 - ready to share!

/shorten https://example.com/campaign my-campaign

Result: redirme.com/my-campaign - with your custom alias!

Requirements

  • A Slack workspace
  • A RedirMe organisation account
  • Workspace admin permissions for installation
